The Australian Catholic University has more then 10 years of experience with enterprise-wide online learning, has delivered over 16,000 units online and believe that blended and wholly online learning is intrinsic to quality learning and teaching.
In 2010, ACU embarked on a major re-evaluation of its online learning systems with the goal of taking the process of learning and teaching upward to a new level. This evaluation culminated with the selection of Moodle 2 as the new front-line Learning Management System to serve students and and staff.
This presentation examines the strategies, tactics, processes and methods used by ACU to manage the process of deployment and to manage the profound and progressive change that moving to the new wave involved.
It will also look at how Moodle 2 is integrated with the broader Educational Technology systems architecture at ACU including the Student Management System, the Learning Content Management System, the ePortfolio and the lecture recording, anti-plagiarism, virtual classroom and exam management systems.
Finally it will extrapolate the present success to the promise of a bright future with Moodle at ACU.
